The Rebel Artist Radio Show - Feb 19, 2024

Made the trek down to Hastings, MN on Monday evening. Nate Griner invited me to join him as a guest on the Rebel Artist Radio show last night. While I was in studio we spent some time dissecting the how and why I play guitar, and some insight to some of the music writing process. We also talked about the music biz, goals, etc.

I had the opportunity to play a few tunes, so we went through 4 songs, just Me, my Rainsong, and Nate played some harp on one of them.

I'm planning on posting the results of the…

The Homegrown Show, on BOB FM, Twin Cities, MN

Just in case you missed it, I was a guest on the Homegrown Show with host Brandon Backstrom on BOB FM, out of the Twin Cities in MN. This station does a lot for the independent artist scene, and this show is a chance to showcase those artists. I've been a guest a few times over the years and Brandon is always a great conversationalist.

If you missed the live broadcast, here is a link to download the replay.

The 2nd Day is the awards show featuring 30 artists, 18 categories, performances, networking, red carpet, live streams, and a few beverages!

We couldn't have pulled it off without our sponsors, volunteers, and team members. It…

Award Winning Sweet and Smoky Chili

So here's the poop. It's cold as hell out, everywhere in the nation. Now is the time for chili. Of all the chili recipes you will ever read, this is definitely one of them.

Unlike most recipes on the internet, I'm not going to tell you anything about the story, or how it came to be, or the SUPER interesting story about chili on open plains during the discovery of the wild west. Let's get to it.

  • 1 lb Hamburger
  • 1 Green Pepper Diced
  • 1 Small Sweet Onion Diced
  • 1 Can of Sweet Corn…

The Healing Half with Miki Speer

In January, I had the opportunity to guest on "The Healing Half" with Miki Speer. She hosts a weekly show about grief, and dealing with loss. Why did I belong on that show you ask?

In 2018/2019 I had a nasty bout with a rare cancer, called a Germ Cell Tumor in my chest. It was quite an adventure, and Miki was kind enough to ask me to share some of my story, and my experiences with her and her audience. I enjoyed the chance to chat, and hopefully shared something of value to her audience.

You can check out…
